FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How often does the status page update?
About every 30 seconds, from GET /v1/status. The check time and the latest article are shown in Eastern Time. The page reports the REST API, the WebSocket stream, and the MCP server. A green banner means those checks passed on the last refresh. It does not measure your own network path to the API.
Does a delayed news desk mean the API is down?
No. Signed-out visitors and Free accounts see the news desk 15 minutes behind ingestion. That delay is the plan. Pro, including the 7-day trial, sees the desk live. If REST, WebSocket, or MCP is actually failing, this page marks that component. The latest article row shows whether stock headlines are still arriving.
What should I do if a component is not operational?
Wait for the next refresh, then retry the call. If it stays down, email [email protected] with the time in Eastern Time, the endpoint, and the HTTP status or error code. Check usage in the dashboard before you assume an outage. A Free account that has used 100 requests returns 429 until 00:00 UTC, which is a limit, not downtime.
What does the status page check?
It checks the REST API, the WebSocket, and the MCP server, about every 30 seconds. A green banner means those checks passed on the last refresh. It does not measure your own network, and it does not treat the 15-minute delay on the Free news desk as an outage. Pro sees that desk live.
