A public screener and a profile for every stock with a live quote, including listings outside the United States. Each page has the live price, company facts, and a daily chart back to 2020, with stock news, press releases, and legal notices listed on the profile.

MarketNewsAPI has a public screener and a profile page for every stock with a live quote. Open a ticker to see the live price, a short company overview, and a daily chart back to 2020. The headline list on the page follows the same delay as the live news desk.

Where are the company profiles?

The list is the screener. Filter by ticker, sector, country, price, or market cap, then open the profile, for example Apple. The table is every stock with a live quote, including listings outside the United States. Exchange-traded funds and mutual funds are left out. A ticker outside that list has no profile page.

What is on a company profile?

Each profile is one company: who it is, what the shares are doing today, and the news that names it.

  • Identity. Logo, ticker, company name, and exchange.
  • Price. Last price and the day's change. Both update during the US session for every visitor.
  • Overview. A short description, plus sector, industry, market cap, employees, headquarters, website, CEO, listing date, P/E, and dividend yield, when the company record includes them.
  • Headlines. The same desk as live news, filtered to that ticker. Signed-out visitors and Free accounts see headlines 15 minutes behind. Pro, including the 7-day trial, sees them as they publish.

How does the price chart work?

The chart is daily candles from the start of 2020. It opens on the last six months. 1D, 1W, 1M, and 1Y change the candle interval and keep the same dates on screen.

Stock news, press releases, and legal notices are listed in the table under the chart. Each headline links to the publisher.

Can I pull the same news from the API?

Yes. GET /v1/news with tickers=AAPL returns the articles that name that symbol. Add type=news, type=press_release, or type=legal to take one feed. Pro searches the full archive in real time. Free keys are delayed 15 minutes and cover the last year.

Frequently asked questions

Which companies have a MarketNewsAPI profile?
Every stock with a live quote, including listings outside the United States. The screener at /screener lists them, and each profile is at /screener/{symbol}, such as /screener/AAPL. Exchange-traded funds and mutual funds are left out. A ticker without a live quote has no profile page.
Do company profiles require an API key?
No key is required to open the screener or a profile. The live price and daily change update during the US session for every visitor. The headline list follows the live news desk: signed-out visitors and Free accounts are 15 minutes behind, and Pro, including the 7-day trial, sees headlines as they publish.
How far back do the chart and the headlines go?
